Description:

This is a painting that represents my three children. Each of the crows has a feather that is a photo of them as children. I have tried to use symbolic images that have meanings for me.

Juror Comments:

Crows What a delightful piece! The artist creates such interest with the variety of “feathers” that we just have to spend time looking! The shapes of the crows, the attention to the negative spaces, the cropping, the limited color palette and the tactile elements all contribute to this innovative and symbolic collage.
