In Carl Dalio on Color Power: The Path to Visualizing
Energetic Color, Carl Dalio explains
the different types of light and where to anticipate areas perfect for adding
vibrancy, explains the strengths of his limited palette and executes a quick
sketch directly on his watercolor paper.
Learn about working with vibrant light effects in the watercolor painting
video. You learn how to keep your colors clean and vibrant
as you make your own painting full of life and energy.
IN ADDITION the watercolor workshop includes a special half hour in-depth
explanation of color and light and how the proper blending of color
can make the difference of night and day in your painting.
If you've ever had trouble with perspective drawing, the Carl
Dalio Sketching in Perspective - Drawing & Composition DVD
is the video workshop for you. Carl establishes
the basic principles with a sketch of a country house. He explains how
to recognize vanishing points, two and three-point perspective, illustrating the advantages and pitfalls of each.
He demonstrates how to draw proportional figures from eye-level and an elevated
vantage point, introduces time-saving methods for populating landscapes and
applies his techniques to larger landscapes, and concludes with principles
for composing sketches for paintings.

Statement from Carl Dalio:
“The creative process offers the
opportunity to analyze and simplify subject matter and to communicate meaning
and human emotion in the final painting form. Through the creative process,
my intention is to define significance in a variety of subjects and tap
into the river of human emotion. I engage and celebrate the nurturing existence
of living color: its power and vibration in complements.
“My purpose as
an instructor is to encourage artistic growth in each student. I believe in
positive feedback and finding visionary solutions to painting adventures.”
