Terry Isaac (continued)
Artist, teacher, and author Terry Isaac is perhaps
best known for his popular wildlife prints distributed by Mill Pond Press (Venice,
Florida) since 1988. Painting predominantly in acrylics, he strives to capture
dramatic moments in nature that are convincingly realistic and scientifically
correct. A large part of his success is due to his extensive reference materials.
Although Terry has a formal art education, he believes his painting improved
most when he dedicated himself to actual fieldwork and studying the works of
other artists in greater detail. He is exacting with very high standards. He
honors his subjects.
Terry has been selected to participate in many prestigious shows and exhibitions:
- Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum’s prestigious “Birds in Art” exhibitions
- The Artist’s View (1990, 1993)
- Wildlife Art in America, James Ford Bell Museum of Natural History Minneapolis (1994)
- Commissioned to paint the New York duck stamp (1991)
- Fourteen waterfowl drawings for the Audubon Bird Handbooks (1987)
Terry’s paintings are represented in many of the most sought after
wildlife collections in print. He currently resides in the Willamette Valley
of Oregon and specializes in birds and animals of North America. A recent trip
to Africa has expanded his repertoire of natural subjects.
