She is a valued lecturer and juror, and shares her exciting creative process in classes and workshops taught throughout the United States as well as at her studio/residence in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her symposium “For
the Sake of a Single Image” will provide a uniquely different approach to creating abstract art.

throughout the United States and travelled across the US and Canada teaching
painting workshops.
Among public collections that include her paintings are the National Academy of Design and the Museum of Fine Arts, Santa Fe.
“Virginia begins a painting impulsively, working with watercolor and
acrylic, layering color and texture on her surface, scribbling and marking
into her paint… insinuating symbols that may or may not survive to the
finish… The design of the painting is imposed with deliberation... by
connecting, overlaping or otherwise organizing the smaller pieces into large
cohesive shapes.” (from “Designsense”,
CD workshop)
Virginia likes to say “…Painting is a journey. It
is the way I mark my path through life…”
