Taking Risks with Watercolor

Shirley Trevena will take you through the painting from her first exciting concept to how she knows when it is finished. She explains and illustrates her technique for putting down layers of paint to obtain the wonderful luminous effects only possible with watercolor.

This watercolor DVD offers a rare insight, for beginners and experienced watercolorists, into how to take risks with watercolor to conceive and give birth to visually stunning, vibrant and colorful paintings.

Shirley Trevena became a full time artist in 1981. Her work is collected in the UK and abroad. She exhibits annually in London and during the Festival in Brighton. She is a member of the Council of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colors.

Now you can study the methods of a master painter and learn how to liven up your paintings and bring your art to a whole new level.

Inspiring  -  by Anna Samek from Chapel Hill, NC US

Shirley Trevena is very inspiring. I love to hear her talk and watch her paint. Very good for more advanced painters who want something different and want to loosen up. Well done, Shirley!

Wonderful  -  by Anna Samek from Chapel Hill, NC US

I could not disagree more with the previous reviewer: Shirley Travena is very inspirational and I love hear her talk and watch her paint. She is very excited about watercolor and not afraid of risks. Her video is best suited for more advanced painters who want to loosen up and for those who already own other videos and want something different. Love you Shirley! Well done.

Not Impressed  -  by JoJoBee from CA US

Shirley is a great artist but not a good teacher. She gets so busy painting that she forgets to tell us how and why she is doing something. She isn't a great speaker and would do better if she had created a script. I wouldn't reccoment this DVD to anyone.
