Learning Professional Techniques

This design and drawing instruction DVD begins Tony's assertion that drawing is the basic element for all multi-dimensional art. Once mastered, the artist can take his or her work in any direction.

Tony Couch shows you how to accent lines to create interest, to use basic shapes in developing your drawings, and to incorporate crosshatching and shading to produce form and dimension. Using these techniques, he completes three landscape drawings using pencil, colored markers, and ink with a bamboo pen over a watercolor wash.

This art instruction video-DVD is truly like condensing the usual Drawing 101 into a thimble. It covers it all and very well. What is required of the artist after viewing this workshop is some dedication and time, and practice practice practice!

This video workshop from Crystal Productions includes training and exercises, suggestions on how to think about your drawing (attack it as a whole, not parts). You will learn to see basic shapes, experiment with different eye levels, use the advantages of working loose and many more useful tips and pointers you'll put to use immediately.
