Telling Stories with Collage & Paint

Ann Baldwin explains how to select materials, locate and prepare images, and layer pieces. She shares her color choices and her process for directing the viewer's eye to the important parts of her design. She discusses how she approaches a piece and the importance of being willing to sacrifice parts for the good of the whole. She shows how different mediums create different textures as she blends reference materials with acrylic paints for smooth transitions between components. As a bonus, the DVD includes Ann's helpful critiques of her students' work, a gallery of her collages and printable handouts from the workshop. It's almost like being there!
