I've just received this DVD and you are to be commended on how this video was filmed. It is for the viewer, as you did an excellent job of showing the mixing of the paint and close ups of the application.
Thanks, Carl, for telling us the exact colors you used as you painted. I have several of your workshop DVD's and this has to be one of the best. I will be in his workshop in April in Dallas and this is a perfect
introdtion to his technique.
Lynn & Jim keep filming the artists like this, close ups of paint mixing and the exact colors used.

I recently received my copy of Carl Dalio's DVD on Color Power containing his unique way of bringing vibrant yet peaceful color to a watercolor painting. He may be an architect by training but he's an artist---and a bit of a comic---in his soul! His wry sense of humor catches you by surprise. The "doghouse" segment on bouncing color is in itself worth the price of the tape! I never thought of perspective applying to colors in shadows! Can't wait to put it all into practice.

This is one of the best video workshops I've ever purchased. Carl's casual teaching style was just what I needed to finally "get it" in a few areas that I've been having trouble with! Being able to listen to Carl while watching him create this beautiful painting was truly a rewarding experience for me, so much so, that I've already ordered his other DVD title, "Drawing and Perspective". What a great gift for myself on this Mother's Day. THANK YOU for another great instructional workshop experience!

I have not seen the video. I went to a Carl Dalio workshop, Painting in Kentucky, a couple of years ago. His use of color and his ability to draw free hand, right on the paper, is magical. Being an architect certainly adds a wonderful accuracy and fluidity to his drawings. He was fabulous. It was very inspiring. I am sure you will get a lot out of watching his video. I am looking forward to receiving it.
